The NanoBio Convergence organization is a non-profit resource in the Bay
Area dedicated to illuminating technology development at the interface of
nanotech and biotechnology (www.nanobioconvergence.org). Originally founded
as NanoBio Forum in 2002 by Dr. Laura Mazzola, the management team made the
decision to spin off into NanoBioConvergence to better execute on our focus
and mission in the space where biotechnology, nanotechnology and
high-technology converge. |

The mission of our group is to respond to the recurring question: Are
there any commercial applications in nanotech in the life sciences? The
answer is yes – recent developments in nanotechnology are transforming
the fields of biosensors, medical devices, diagnostics, high-throughput
screening and drug delivery. Our organization’s goal is to showcase some
of these applications and help bridge the entrepreneurial and investment
communities in this emerging field. Our audience draws heavily from the
entrepreneurial and investment communities, with significant crossover
from both high-tech and biotech. |
